Kindergarten- Together with God

Lesson 7 “We Pray to God” The teacher can emphasize that we can pray to Jesus and ask Him to help us.

Lesson 10 “Mary Receives Good News” Mary prayed to God each day. She followed God’s will for her and God gave her strength to become the mother of Jesus.

Lesson 30 “Pentecost” God gave the Apostles strength to go out around the world and tell people about Jesus.


Grade 1- God Loves Us

Lesson 13 “Mary Says ‘Yes!’ to God’s Gift” Because Mary was willing to cooperate with God’s divine plan for herself and the world, God gave Mary strength to become the mother of God.

Lesson 19 “Growing in God’s Care” Jesus is the Good Shepherd who loves us and cares for us. We can always pray to Jesus and ask for His help.

Lesson 20 “Jesus Loves Me” Because Jesus loves all children, He is a special friend we can talk to at any time and ask Him to give us strength to do whatever we need to do.

Lesson 23 “Trusting in God’s Love” Trusting God means that with our cooperation, God will provide for our needs, because He has a divine plan for us.

 

Grade 2- New Life in Jesus

Lesson 6 “Saying ‘Yes!’ to God. At baptism, we say “Yes!” to God. God gives us strength to follow Jesus’ teachings and make the right choices.

Lesson 7 “Jesus Sends His Holy Spirit” Jesus sends His Holy Spirit to help us be strong and follow his teachings.

Lesson 8 “We Receive the Holy Spirit” The Holy Spirit helps us and gives us strength to do what Jesus wants us to do.

 

Grade 3- We Worship God in Church

Lesson 16 “We Confess Our Faith” This lesson teaches students about St. Stephen, the first martyr. God gave St. Stephen strength to endure his persecution.

Lesson 19 “We Remember All of the Saints” This lesson illustrates how the Theotokos said yes to God and God gave her strength to be the mother of Jesus.

Lesson 20 “We Pray to God, Our Father” When we say, “…and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil” we are asking God to give us strength to do what is right and good.

Lesson 21 “We Receive the Gifts of Jesus Christ” Receiving Holy Communion enables us to grow closer to Jesus and helps give us strength to live as Jesus wants us to live.

Lesson 25 “We Pray to God Everyday” Praying helps make us stronger so that we can do what God wants us to do.

 

Grade 4- Jesus the Promise of God

Lesson 12 “Jesus is Tempted in the Desert” Jesus teaches us how to be strong and fight against temptations.

Lesson 13 “Jesus Chooses Twelve Disciples” Jesus gave ordinary men the strength to be His Apostles.

Lesson 16 “Jesus is Our Teacher” Because Jesus loves us, He gives us strength to follow His example.

Lesson 18 “Jesus Helps Us When We Need Him” We can pray to Jesus at any time and ask for His help.

 

Grade 5- Our Life in the Church

Lesson 2 “The Battle with Satan” This lesson references the quote from St. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, “Be strong in the Lord..."
