clip_image001

Commemorated on April 7

St. Aquilina, St. Rufinus the Deacon, and two hundred soldiers suffered around 310 in the city of Sinope on the Black Sea during the reign of Emperor Maximian.

When the holy deacon Rufinus was put into prison for confessing Christianity, St. Aquilina expressed her concern as well as her faith in Christ. She was also placed under guard.

In prison these holy martyrs converted two hundred soldiers to Christ by their miracles, and all of them were beheaded by the sword.
