St. Waldetrudis of Belgium
Commemorated on April 9
St. Waldetrudis was the daughter of Sts. Walbert and Bertilia. She was also the wife of St. Vincent Madelgarus and mother of Ss. Landericus, Dentelin, Madalberta and Aldetrudis.
In the seventh century, when her husband became a monk, she founded a convent and became a nun. Eventually, the town of Mons in Belgium grew up around the convent.
