Ss. Alevtina & Chione, Martyrs, at Caesarea, in Palestine

Commemorated on July 16

The Holy Martyrs Alevtina, Paul, and Chione were siblings from Egypt.

During the persecution against Christians under Emperor Maximian in the fourth century, they were taken to Palestinian Caesarea. Without the slightest fear, they confessed themselves as followers of Christ.

For their belief in the One True God, the sisters Alevtina and Chione were burned, and Paul was beheaded.
