St. Irmengard of Germany

St. Irmengard was born in the ninth century. She was the daughter of King Louis “The German” and a granddaughter of Charlemagne.
She was the abbess at Buchau and then later at Cheimsee, Germany where her father built a monastery.
St. Irmengard died on July 16, 866 at the age of 34.
