Order of St. Ignatius Governing Council Meets in Houston
New Knight of The Order of St. Ignatius of Antioch, Adel Foteh.The Order of St. Ignatius of Antioch gathered in Houston, Texas for our Fall Governing Council Meeting on October 16, 2009. Our meeting was held in conjunction with a banquet hosted by St. George Church, Houston in honor of His Eminence, Metropolitan PHILIP in order to raise funds for the newly established Convent of St. Thekla. The funds will be used to build a permanent structure for the convent at the Antiochian Village. Mother Alexandra, the Acting Abbess for the convent was present during the weekend gathering.

Members of the Governing Council of The Order were warmly welcomed for lunch by Adel Foteh, owner of Tommy’s Grill and Café on Post Oak Road in Houston. Adel generously provided mezza and dessert for our members during our lunch break. Members of the Governing Council were greatly pleased and pleasantly surprised when, after Liturgy on Sunday, Adel was inducted as a new member into The Order, along with Thomas and Kimberly Barrow and Karen Mufarreh.
